PTI legal body accused higher leadership over their failure to obtain bails

The legal team of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) accused higher leadership of playing a major role in the denial of workers bails as they used inappropriate language against the establishment, and now workers are bearing the burden of their statements, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The PTI legal team said that bail must be granted to PTI workers after normal court proceedings, but provincial office-bearers and PTI political committee members used abusive language against the establishment and other state institutions in different addresses.
One of PTI's provincial office-bearers advised the party leadership to change legal teams instead of advising them to use proper words.
He further went on to say that if our legal team cannot bear the burden of our words, then it must change its strategy and improve its performance.
The PTI legal team should avoid putting the burden of their failure on our shoulders.
The workers said that they are pursuing the case by themselves while the PTI legal team miserably failed to take any action in this regard.
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad rejected the bail petitions of 86 PTI workers, who had been arrested in connection with incidents of violence on November 26, while granting bail to six workers in the illegal weapons case in lieu of surety bonds of Rs5,000 each.
