A violent attack on tourists at the scenic Pahalgam resort in Indian-occupied Kashmir has triggered strong condemnation and serious allegations from Sikh for Justice (SFJ) and the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), who have held the Modi-led Indian government and intelligence agencies responsible for orchestrating the incident, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, in a statement, Sikh for Justice blamed Indian intelligence agency RAW and the Modi administration for the killings of Hindu tourists in Pahalgam.
SFJ leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun denounced the attack, terming it a “false flag operation” carried out by Indian agencies to malign the Kashmiri freedom movement and divert global attention.
He questioned, “Does the killing of Hindus lead to Kashmir’s freedom?” adding that only the Modi regime stands to benefit from such incidents. He said, “Being a Sikh, I understand the pain of such loss.”
The SFJ leader also referred to similar past incidents, recalling that “even during former US President Bill Clinton's visit, Indian agencies staged attacks to manipulate international opinion.”
The All Parties Hurriyat Conference echoed these concerns, labelling the attack in Pahalgam as “inhuman and despicable” and also demanding an impartial and independent investigation into the incident.
Hurriyat leaders expressed sympathy with the families of the deceased and wished for the swift recovery of the injured. They maintained that Indian agencies were behind the attack, claiming it was a calculated attempt to defame the Kashmiri liberation struggle on the international stage.
“The Modi government, rattled by nationwide protests, has orchestrated this conspiracy to divert global attention,” the Hurriyat statement said.
The APHC leaders also noted a pattern of violent incidents during visits by American officials, which they said exposes the mindset of the Indian establishment.
Citing historical precedent, Hurriyat leaders referenced the Chattisinghpora massacre as “irrefutable proof” of the Indian army's involvement in such operations, calling the Pahalgam attack a continuation of that sinister agenda.
Despite these provocations, the Hurriyat Conference reaffirmed that the people of Kashmir remain committed to their peaceful struggle for the right to self-determination.
