PPP s Ali Haider Gilani submits resignation to Bilawal Bhutto

Ali Haider Gilani, a member of the Punjab Assembly from Multan, on Tuesday submitted his resignation to his party chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). 

Ali, son of former prime minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, also shared a picture of his hand-written resignation on Twitter. He said that he tendered his resignation to accelerate the struggle for democracy in Pakistan. 

Ali wrote on Twitter, “To further the democratic struggle in Pakistan and my belief in your political farsightedness. @BBhuttoZardari Please accept my resignation which will be reaching you shortly. @MediaCellPPP”
