PIA special flight flies in 251 Pakistanis from Jeddah

The Pakistan International Airline (PIA) special flight on Wednesday reached Karachi carrying repatriated 251 Pakistani nationals from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

This was Pia’s 12th flight from Jeddah during which over 2,500 Pakistanis have been repatriated, Pakistani Consulate in Jeddah said and added the consulate has been taking steps for the return of Pakistani nationals.

Earlier on Monday, two PIA’s repatriation flights carrying 287 stranded Pakistanis departed from Jeddah, the Consulate General of Pakistan said in a statement.

“As part of the Government of Pakistan’s ongoing international repatriation flights operation, two more PIA special flights departed from Jeddah for Peshawar today. Flight PK 8736 carrying 142 passengers left Jeddah at 1240 hours while PK 8742 carrying 145 passengers at 1540 hours,” the statement said.

It added that the embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh and consulate general in Jeddah were working in close collaboration with PIA.
