ANF arrests five drug peddlers, seize 115kg drugs

Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered 115 kilograms of drugs during six different operations and arrested five accused involved in drug smuggling, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to ANF spokesperson, over 4 kg of ice was recovered from the trolley bag of a foreigner (Japanese) at Jinnah International Airport who was leaving for Bangladesh.
In another action, 3.6 kg of hashish was recovered from the accused resident of Bajaur in Bahria Town Karachi.
During the operation in Chaghi, 100 kg of opium was recovered from the vehicle while 5 kg heroin found hidden in a car near Sibbi Road Quetta and a resident of Naseerabad was arrested during the operation.
During the operation in Hayatabad, Peshawar, 2 kg of heroin was recovered from the accused resident of Khyber who admitted to smuggle drugs from Bara to Punjab.
At Bacha Khan International Airport, Sharjah bound passenger was arrested and 3 capsules were recovered from the stomach of the accused who is a resident of Bannu. Hashish was recovered from 1 capsule while ecstasy pills were recovered from 2 capsules.
Cases have been registered against the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act and further investigation has been started.
